Let \(L\) be a Lie superalgebra over a field of characteristic different from 2. A subalgebra \(H\) of \(L\) is said to be a subideal if there exist \(H_0, H_1, \ldots, H_r\) such that \(H=H_0\leq H_1\leq \cdots\leq H_r=L\), where \(H_i\) is an ideal of \(H_{i+1}\) for every \(i=0, \ldots, r-1\). For every positive integer \(i\) denote by \(\gamma_i(L)\) the \(i\)-th term of the lower central series of \(L\). The authors prove that if \(L\) is generated by subideals \(H\) and \(K\) and \(L/\gamma_2(L)\) is finite-dimensional, then for every \(a,b>0\) there exists \(c>0\) such that \(\gamma_c(L)\leq \gamma_a(H)+\gamma_b(K)\). Moreover, they show that if every subalgebra of \(L\) is a subideal in at most \(n\) steps then \(L\) is nilpotent of a class bounded by a function in terms of \(n\) only. This is the analogue in the Lie superalgebras setting of a celebrated theorem due to \textit{J. E. Roseblade} [Math. Z. 117, 57--69 (1970; Zbl 0224.20034)] for groups and generalizes a result of \textit{I. N. Stewart} [Compos. Math. 22, 313--331 (1970; Zbl 0204.36001)] for Lie algebras.
