The author studies the difference equation with several delays \[ x(n+1)-x(n)=-\sum_{k=0}^{K}a_k(n)x\left(n-h_k(n)\right), \] in which the delays \(h_k(n)\) are bounded. He obtains exact (unimprovable) sufficient conditions under which the difference equation is asymptotically stable or uniformly stable. These results generalize some established results for a similar equation with one bounded delay. Moreover, the author estimates the rate of the convergence of a solution to zero for the asymptotically stable case. Finally, he compares the new results with some known criteria with examples.
