The authors investigate the following four problems: (1) a computational scheme for solving the Cauchy problem for a singular integro-differential equation of the first-order, (2) approximate solutions of the integral equation with a logarithmic kernel, (3) uniform estimates for errors of approximate formulas, and (4) the order of errors of approximate solutions using the Chebyshev polynomials and the method of successive approximations.
