Stable range is a key ingredient in algebraic \(K_1\) of a ring, defined by \textit{H. Bass} [Publ. Math. Inst. Hautes Études Sci. 22, 5--60 (1964; Zbl 0248.18025)], and more generally, in higher algebraic \(K\)-groups via the plus-construction of Quillen. In this paper present in a simple and direct way an upper bound for the stable range in the case, when the ring is an arithmetic order in a division algebra.
