Let \(p\) be and odd prime and let \(G=AB\) be a finite \(p\)-group that is the product of a cyclic subgroup \(A\) and a non-cyclic subgroup \(B\). As usual let \(\mho_{i}(B)=\langle b^{p^{i}} \mid b \in B \rangle\) be the subgroup of \(B\) generated by the \(p^{i}\)-th power of elements of \(B\).NEWLINENEWLINEIn the paper under review the author continues his investigations on the structure of \(G\) begun in his previous article [Adv. Group Theory Appl. 9, 5--37 (2020; Zbl 1474.20041)]. The main result (see Theorem 9) is that, under the previous hypotheses, if \(B\) has nilpotency class \(c < p/2\), then \(A\mho_{i}(B)\) is a subgroup of \(G\) for all \(i\).
