The main result of the paper under review considers the uniqueness of (a foliation by) stable CMC spheres separating the compact part from the end of asymptotically flat \(3\)-manifolds that satisfy the Regge-Teitelboim condition near infinity. Existence of such spheres and a weaker notion of uniqueness were recently established by \textit{L.-H. Huang} [Commun. Math. Phys. 300, No.~2, 331--373 (2010; Zbl 1206.53028)]. The present paper can be seen as a continuation of this work. The proofs given depend on several technical estimates, mostly using standard methods in geometric analysis.
