In [Arch. Math. 86, No. 6, 561--568 (2006; Zbl 1106.46029)], \textit{P. Hájek} and the reviewer generalized a classical result of \textit{B. J. Birch} [Mathematika 4, 102--105 (1957; Zbl 0081.04501)], obtaining an estimate on the number \(N = N(k,n)\) of real variables that are necessary to ensure that every \(n\)-homogeneous real-valued polynomial on \(\mathbb R^N\) vanishes on a \(k\)-dimensional subspace of \(\mathbb R^N\). In turn, this result was improved by the author in [Math. Notes 86, No. 4, 510--515 (2009); translation from Mat. Zametki 86, No. 4, 543--549 (2009; Zbl 1246.11076)], who showed that it held for arbitrary odd polynomials. Here, the author generalizes his own work still further, obtaining a similar result for the case of several arbitrary odd polynomials.
