In this paper, it is shown that the \(K\)-homology class of the Dirac operator \(D_{q}\) on the \(q\)-deformation \(G_{q}\) of a simply connected semisimple compact Lie group \(G\) corresponds to the \(K\)-homology class of the classical Dirac operator \(D\) under the \(KK\)-equivalence between the C*-algebras \(C\left( G_{q}\right) \) and \(C\left( G\right) \) established by Nagy, and hence the \(K\)-homology class of \(D_{q}\) is nonzero. It is also proved that given a continuous family of isomorphisms between the von Neumann algebras \(W^{\ast}\left( G_{q}\right) \) and \(W^{\ast}\left( G\right) \), the unitary Drinfeld twist \(\mathcal{F}^{q}\) relating the coproducts in \(W^{\ast}\left( G_{q}\right) \) and \(W^{\ast}\left( G\right) \) can be chosen to be continuous in \(q\).
