The authors study the problem of computability, by an algorithm, of the Brolin-Lyubich measure \(\lambda_R\) of a rational map \(R\) on the Riemann sphere with deg \(R \geq 2\). The measure \(\lambda_R\) is the unique measure of maximal entropy for \(R\), and it is supported on the Julia set \(J(R)\) of \(R\). The authors show that \(\lambda_R\) is always computable on the basis of the coefficients of \(R\), even when \(J(R)\) is not computable. They also find a sufficient condition for the computability of the harmonic measure of a domain, which can be applied in particular to the case of the basin of infinity of a polynomial map.
