Duffing-van der Pol-type oscillator system and its first integrals (Q652044)

Under certain parametric conditions, the paper is concerned with the first integrals of a Duffing-van der Pol-type oscillator system that includes, for example, the van der Pol oscillator and the damped Duffing oscillator as particular cases. The Lie symmetry method is applied to find two nontrivial infinitesimal generators that are used to construct canonical variables. The inverse transformations allow to obtain the first integrals of the original oscillator system under given parametric conditions, and some particular cases such as the damped Duffing equation and the van der Pol oscillator system are discussed, accordingly.
