One-parameter families of piecewise expanding maps \(T_a:[0,1]\to [0,1]\), where \(a\in I\) and \(I\) is a real interval, are considered such that for any \(a\in I\), \(T_a\) admits a unique absolutely continuous invariant measure \(\mu_a\). Then almost every point \(x\in [0,1]\) is typical for \(\mu_a\), i.e., \[ \frac{1}n \sum _{i=0}^{n-1} \delta_{T_a^i(x)} \] converges in the sense of the weak*-topology to \(\mu_a\) as \(n\to \infty\). A sufficient condition such that a given point in the interval \([0,1]\) is typical for a full Lebesgue measure set of parameters is given in the article and general criteria for typicality are established. Furthermore, these criteria are applied to several well-known one-parameter families to derive typicality results for them.
