The author studies the dynamics of polynomial skew-products \(f(z,w)=\bigl(p(z),q(z,w)\bigr)\) in \(\mathbb{C}^2\). He introduces a rational number \(\alpha\in\mathbb{Q}^+\) which, roughly speaking, measures the best relative weight of the coordinate \(z\) with respect to the coordinate~\(w\). He then proves that the weighted Green function \[ G^l_f(z,w)=\lim\limits_{n\to\infty}\frac{1}{\lambda_1^n}\log^+|f^n(z,w)|_l \] exists and is continuous and plurisibharmonic on \(\mathbb{C}^2\) for all \(l\geq\alpha\), where \(|(z,w)|_l=\max\{|z|^l,|w|\}\) and \(\lambda_1\) is the dynamical degree of \(f\). The author also shows that \(f\) extends as an algebraically stable rational map \(\tilde f\) to a weighted projective space \(\mathbb{P}(r,s,1)\), where \(\alpha=r/s\), and describes the Fatou set of \(\tilde f\) in terms of \(G^\alpha_f\) when \(\deg p=\deg_w q\).
