In this paper it is studied a singularly perturbed Steklov-type problem with a small parameter in a bounded two-dimensional domain. On the boundary a mixed boundary condition is assumed. The regions on which the Dirichlet condition is imposed have length of order \(\varepsilon\) and they alternate with fragments of the same order in length on which the Steklov condition is imposed. The main result of this paper establishes a degeneracy property, namely the eigenvalues of the problem tend to infinity as \(\varepsilon\) goes to zero.
