A model for a finite group \(G\) is a set \(\{\lambda_i\colon H_i\to\mathbb C\}\) of linear characters of subgroups of \(G\) such that \(\sum_i\text{Ind}_{H_i}^G(\lambda_i)\) is the multiplicity-free sum of all irreducible characters of \(G\). The notion of a generalized involution model as a natural extension of this concept was defined by \textit{D. Bump} and \textit{D. Ginzburg} [J. Algebra 278, No. 1, 294-313 (2004; Zbl 1053.20006)]. This paper proves that a finite complex reflection group has a generalized involution model, as defined by Bump and Ginzburg, if and only if each of its irreducible factors is either \(G(r,p,n)\) with \(\gcd(p,n)=1\); \(G(r,p,2)\) with \(\frac{r}{p}\) odd; or \(G_{23}\), the Coxeter group of type \(H_{3}\). The author additionally provides explicit formulas for all automorphisms of \(G(r,p,n)\), and constructs new Gelfand models for the groups \(G(r,p,n)\) with \(\gcd(p,n)=1\).
