Let \(K\) be a quadratic extension of \(\mathbb{Q}\) and let \(\zeta_K (s)\) be the corresponding Dedekind zeta function. The purpose of this note is to study the number \(N_K'(T)\) of non-real simple zeros of \(\zeta_K(s)\) in the region \(0<\sigma<1\) and \(0<t<T\). The \(L^k\)-Lindelöf condition on average asserts that for any \(\epsilon>0\), any real number \(k>4\) and sufficiently large \(T\), we have \N\[\N\int_1^T \left|L(1/2+it, \chi)\right|^k dt\ll_q T^{1+\epsilon}, \N\]\Nwhere \(\chi\) is a real primitive character of modulus an integer \(q\geq 1\).\N\NAssuming the \(L^6\)-Lindelöf condition on average, it is shown that \N\[\NN_K'(T)\gg T^{1-\epsilon}.\N\]\NThis improves a prior result of \textit{X. Wu} and \textit{L. Zhao} [Mathematika 65, No. 4, 851--861 (2019; Zbl 1429.11205)].
