The author proves that the range \(\mathbb{R}\) in the Dowker-Katětov and Michael insertion theorems can be replaced by any non-trivial separable Banach lattice, see Theorem 2.1. Moreover, a similar theorem for non-separable Banach lattices is given, see Theorem 2.2. These results improve the Dowker-Katětov and Michael insertion theorems, and have extensive use in general topology.
