Padovan numbers \(P_n\) are the elements of the sequence defined by \(P_0=P_1=P_2=1\), \(P_{n+3}=P_{n+1}+P_n\). The authors solve the Diophantine equations \(P_{-n}=\pm P_m^2, P_n=P_{-m}^2,P_{-n}=\pm P_{-m}^2\) in positive integers \(m,n\). The proofs involve application of Baker-type estimates of linear forms in the logarithms of algebraic numbers and reduction algorithms.
