This article discusses various properties of capacity and modulus measure in a metric space \((X,\mu)\) where \(\mu\) is a Borel measure. Given a set \(E\subset X\), we denote by \(\Gamma^E\) the family of paths in \(E\). For \(p\geq 1\) the \(p\)-modulus of \(\Gamma^E\) is given by \(M_p(\Gamma^E)=\inf\int_X \rho^p d\mu\), where the infimum it taken over all admissible functions \(\rho\). Firstly, the author shows that \(M_p(\Gamma^E)\) is either zero or infinity and that the same statement holds true for the approximation modulus \(AM_p(\Gamma^E)\). The remaining part of the article discusses the connections with the \(p\)-capacity under the assumption that \(X\) is quasiconvex. No assumptions are made on the validity of the \(p\)-Poincaré inequality nor that the measure \(\mu\) is doubling.
