Let \(k\) be a subfield of \(\mathbb C\) containing a primitive \(p\)-th root of unity ( \(p\) is a rational prime). Let \(G\) be a compact connected Lie group. Denote by \(G_{k}\) the split reductive group defined over \(k\) which corresponds to \(G.\) A \(G_{k}\)-torsor \({\mathbf{G}}_{k}\) over \(k\) is a variety over \(k\) with a free action \(G_{k}\)-action such that the quotient variety is \(\mathrm{Spec}(k).\) A \(G_{k}\)-torsor is called trivial, if it isomorphic to \(G_{k}.\) For a given prime \(p\) the author assumes that \({\mathbf{G}}_{k}\) is a nontrivial torsor over \(k\) at \(p\) i.e. \({\mathbf{G}}_{k}\) is nontrivial over any finite extension \(K/k\) of degree coprime to \(p.\) The author studies the Chow ring of \({\mathbf{G}}_{k}\). For \((G,p)= (G_{2},2)\) he proves that \(\mathrm{CH}^{*}({\mathbf{G}}_{k})_{(2)} \cong {\mathbb{Z}}_{(2)}.\) A partial result for exceptional Lie group \(F_{4}\) at prime \(p=3\) is also obtained.
