    A subgroup \(H\) of a finite group \(G\) is said to be a CAP-subgroup of \(G\) if for each chief factor \(K/L\) of \(G\), \(H\) covers \(K/L\) (i.e. \(HK=HL\)) or \(H\) avoids \(K/L\) (i.e. \(H\cap K=H\cap L\)). A chief factor \(K/L\) of \(G\) is called non-Frattini if \(K/L\not\leq\Phi(G/L)\). A subgroup \(H\) of a finite group \(G\) is said to be a CAP*-subgroup of \(G\) if for any non-Frattini chief factor \(K/L\) of \(G\), \(H\) covers \(K/L\) (i.e. \(HK=HL\)) or \(H\) avoids \(K/L\) (i.e. \(H\cap K=H\cap L\)). In the main result of the paper the authors obtain the solvability of a group \(G\) when some subgroups are CAP*-subgroup in \(G\). Concretely they prove the equivalences: (1) \(G\) is solvable; (2) Every Hall subgroup of \(G\) is a CAP*-subgroup of \(G\); (3) Every Sylow subgroup of \(G\) is a CAP*-subgroup of \(G\); (4) Every maximal subgroup of \(G\) is a CAP*-subgroup of \(G\); (5) Exists a maximal subgroup \(M\), that is a solvable CAP*-subgroup of \(G\); (6) Exists a maximal subgroup \(M\), such that every Sylow subgroup of \(M\) is a CAP*-subgroup of \(G\).
