Nonlocal-interaction vortices (Q6561291)

Sequences of quadratic nonlocal functionals, depending on a small parameter are considered in the paper. The objective is to extend the use of nonlocal energies in order to treat models with topological singularities such as those arising in the asymptotic analysis of Ginzburg-Landau energies. The main result is Theorem 2.6, formulated in Section 2. It is on compactness and \(\Gamma\)-convergence, which is proved in Section 3. The proof is detailed and interesting.
