The \textit{rank} of a \(d\)-dimensional polytope \(P\) is \(F - d- 1\) where \(F\) is the number of facets of \(P\). If \(P\) is normal, then the rank of \(P\) coincides with the rank of the divisor class group of the toric ring of \(P\). The paper under review studies the toric rings of \((0,1)\)-polytopes with small ranks. In particular, their normality, the torsion-freeness of their divisor class groups, and the classification of their isomorphism classes are studied.
