The authors investigate the positive zeros of the derivatives \(J_\nu'''\) and \(J_\nu^{(n+1)}\) of Bessel functions. They prove that \(J_\nu'''\) has exactly one zero in \((j_{\nu,k},j_{\nu,k+1})\) for \(\nu > 1\), where \(j_{\nu,k}\) and \(j_{\nu,k+1}\) are two consecutive positive zeros of \(J_\nu\). In addition, it is shown that the positive zero \(j_{\nu,m}^{(n+1)}\) of \(J_\nu^{(n+1)}\) is an increasing function of \(\nu\), for \(\nu> n\). The first two Rayleigh sums for \(j_{\nu,m}^{(n)}\) are computed, a lower bound for \(j_{\nu,1}^{(n+1)}\) derived, and an inequality between \(j_{\nu,1}^{(n+1)}\) and \(j_{\nu,1}^{(n)}\) established.
