Solvability of the Dirichlet problem for the general second-order elliptic equation (Q656229)

This paper is concerned with existence and uniqueness of solutions to some second order differential equations in divergence form posed in bounded domains of \(\mathbb R^n\), \(n\geq 2\) under Dirichlet boundary conditions. The solutions are considered in the general set of \((n-1)\)-dimensional continuous functions, a concept introduced in [\textit{A. K. Gushchin}, Math. USSR, Sb. 65, No. 1, 19--66 (1990); translation from Mat. Sb., Nov. Ser. 137(179), No. 1(9), 19--64 (1988; Zbl 0683.35013)].
