This paper reports the complex dynamics of a general diffusive predator-prey system by involving predator maturation delay. A complex task is determining the existence of the nonconstant steady state. The authors finish this aspect with the help of the Leray-Schauder degree theory. The local and global Hopf bifurcation of this delayed population model are also explored. These results are helpful to understand the complex interaction dynamics of the predator-prey models with maturation delay.
