    Let \((E,+)\) be a commutative group with neutral element \(o\), further let \(\nu \in\mathbb{N}_0\) and let \(\mathfrak{U} =\{U_1,\dots,U_{\nu} \}\) be a set of \(\nu\) non-zero subgroups of \((E,+)\) \((\mathfrak{U} = \emptyset\) for \(\nu = 0)\) with \(U_i \cap U_j = \{o\}\) for \(i \neq j\). Further let \(N := \bigcup_{U\in\mathfrak{U}} U \cup \{o\}\), \(E^\ast := E \setminus N\), \(M^\ast \subset E^\ast,\) \(M := M^\ast \cup \{o\}\), and let \(\cdot : M \times E \rightarrow E\) be a map called multiplication. The triple \((E,\mathfrak{U},M)\) is called a \(\nu\)-local system, if certain conditions are satisfied. The authors characterize all metric kinematic planes algebraically by \(\nu\)-local systems. They show that \(\nu\)-local systems can be embedded into \(\nu\)-local rings. The representing \(\nu\)-local systems will be embedded into metrical \(\nu\)-local algebras. The authors show that each metric kinematic plane can be embedded into a uniquely determined locally Euclidean, respectively, pseudo-Euclidean plane.
