An inequality of meromorphic vector functions and its application (Q657135)

Summary: Firstly, an inequality for vector-valued meromorphic functions is established which extends a corresponding inequality of \textit{H. Milloux} [Ann. Sci. Éc. Norm. Supér., III. Sér. 63, 289--316 (1946; Zbl 0061.15203)] for meromorphic scalar-valued functions. As an application, the relationship between the characteristic function of a vector-valued meromorphic function \(f\) and its derivative \(f'\) is studied, and results are obtained which extend some related results for meromorphic scalar-valued function of \textit{A. Weitsman} [Acta Math. 123, 115--139 (1969; Zbl 0185.14502)] and \textit{S. K. Singh} and \textit{H. S. Gopalakrishna} [Math. Ann. 191, 121--142 (1971; Zbl 0207.07401)].
