The authors study the behaviour of the solutions of the difference equation \[ x_n= A_n x_{n-k}/\Biggl(1+ \sum^1_{j=1} B_{jn}x_{n-j}\Biggr) \] with periodic \(A_n\) and nonnegative \(B_{jn}\). In particular, they generalize results of the first author [J. Difference Equ. Appl. 15, No. 6, 605--620 (2009; Zbl 1207.39018) as well as ibid. 15, No. 3, 253--260 (2009; Zbl 1169.39005)].
