Representation of surfaces in 3-dimensional lightlike cone (Q657685)

The geometry of submanifolds of a degenerate manifold is one of the most interesting topics from theory of submanifolds. The present paper brings a contribution to this field. By using complex function theory and differential equation theory, the author obtains the representation formulas for any space-like surface and maximal space-like surface in a 3-dimensional light-like cone \(\mathbb{Q}\). This enables him to relate the geometry of space-like surfaces with the geometry of their associated surfaces in \(\mathbb{Q}\).
