In this paper the authors study different aspects concerning homology and inverse limit functors which do not commute (interesting case studies occur in shape and strong shape theories constructed for different spaces -- these are not discussed in this study). The authors present applications for various homology theories (exact homology functors induced by different non-free co-chain complexes and the relation between them, alongside other classical homology theories). For the defined homology functors the authors present tautness and continuous properties. The topics discussed in detail are the universal coefficient formula, some properties of inverse limits and its derived functors and applications in homology theory.
