The authors consider the system\N\[\N\begin{cases} s_t + (-\Delta)^\alpha s = - u \cdot \nabla s - \chi \nabla \cdot (s \nabla c) - sm, \\\Nm_t + (-\Delta)^\alpha m = - u \cdot \nabla m - sm, \\\Nc_t + (-\Delta)^\alpha c = - u \cdot \nabla c + m, \\\Nu_t + (-\Delta)^\alpha u = - (u \cdot \nabla) u - \nabla P - (s + m) \nabla \phi, \quad \nabla \cdot u = 0, \end{cases}\N\]\Nmodelling coral fertilization in \(\mathbb{R}^3\), where \(s\), \(m\) and \(c\) represent the density of sperm gametes, egg gametes and chemicals, respectively, which interact with the sea (with velocity \(u\)) through transportation and buoyancy.\N\NTheir main result asserts global existence of mild solutions for small data and gives temporal decay rates. They achieve this by employing a fixed point argument in a space with a suitable temporal weight.
