The author defines new classes of statistical manifolds endowed with a complex structure.\N\NIn the Hermitian setting, \textit{A. Gray} and \textit{L. M. Hervella} [Ann. Mat. Pura Appl. (4) 123, 35--58 (1980; Zbl 0444.53032)] obtained 16 classes of almost Hermitian manifolds. In 2004, \textit{T. Kurose} [``Geometry of statistical manifolds''. In: Mathematics in the 21st Century. Nihon-hyouron-sha, Japan (2004)] defined holomorphic statistical manifolds. On such manifolds, the statistical connection \(\nabla\) is given by the sum of the Levi-Civita connection \(\nabla^g\) and a tensor \(K\) of type \((1,2)\) satisfying certain properties. We point out that the complex structure \(J\) is not parallel with respect to the statistical connection \(\nabla\). \N\NThe purpose of this paper is to find new classes of holomorphic statistical manifolds by classifying tensors of the form \(g((\nabla_XJ)Y,Z)\). The author obtains four basic classes of holomorphic statistical manifolds. Geometric properties of these classes are derived.
