Finsler warped product metrics of quadratic Weyl curvature (Q6589768)

An interesting topic in Finsler geometry are metrics with special Weyl curvature. In the present paper, metrics with quadratic Weyl curvature which are not of Weyl type are studied. A wide class of warped product metrics is studied and necessary and sufficient conditions for such metrics to have quadratic Weyl curvature are derived. This refines the sufficient conditions given in [\textit{M. Gabrani} et al., Tôhoku Math. J. (2) 75, No. 2, 283--298 (2023; Zbl 1520.53016)]. According to another result from [loc. cit.], every Douglas metric is Weyl quadratic. As an application, quadratic Weyl metrics which are not of Douglas type are constructed.
