The author presents the similarity solutions for lock-realease gravity currents affected by slope, drag and entrainment. The study is well-written in general, the introduction is clear, the used equations with the appled notation looks correct. The results are fine too. I just would like to point out two shortcomings of the study: \N\N1) To give better overview the author should cite some studies about water waves above sea of varying depths, like: [\textit{I. F. Barna} and \textit{L. Mátyás}, Mathematics 10, Paper No. 32811 17 p. (2022; \url{doi:10.3390/math10183281}); \textit{C. D. Wang} and \textit{M. H. Meylan}, Appl. Ocean. Res. 24, No. 3, 163--174 (2002; \url{doi:10.1016/S0141-1187(02)00025-1}); \textit{D. Chowdhury} and \textit{S. Debsarma}, Fluid. Water Waves 1, 259--273 (2019; \url{doi:10.1007/s42286-019-00021-w})].\N\N2) It would be helpful for the reader to present some additional figures how the solutions really look like. Remember a picture says more than thousand words. Nowadays, with Maple or with Mathematica program packages it is very easy to produce informative figures. For example one or two 2 dimensional figures of $(H)$ and $(U)$ and some three dimensional (I mean $x$ and $t$ dependent) figures for $u(x,t)$ and $h(x,t)$. Additionally the authors should discuss the possible parameter dependence of the solutions. After that the reader will clearly see if the solutions are some almost trivial functions or some interesting e.g. special functions with rich mathematical structure.\N\NIf these works are done, the mansucript can be published.
