In this paper, the authors study the existence and localization of periodic solutions of second-order non-linear coupled planar systems without requiring periodicity for the non-linearities. By using a variation of the Nagumo condition and the topological degree theory, they prove that the given system has at least one periodic solution. They also present the localization of the periodic solution by using a technique of orderless upper and lower solutions which involve functions with translations. An application of main result is given for a system of two coupled Van der Pol oscillations with a forcing component.
