New transformation formulas for the fourth Lauricella function (Q6597474)

The authors obtain summation, transformation, and reduction formulas for Lauricella functions of \(n\) variables and for the special cases of Appell and \({}_2 F_1\) functions. The proofs involve the Eulerian integral for the Lauricella function or its special cases, performing an integral substitution which maps the interval \((0, 1)\) to itself, and rewriting the new integral in terms of another Lauricella function or some special case of it. New formulas are obtained and in some cases the number of variables in the new Lauricella function changes.
