The famous French \textit{Encyclopédie, ou dictionnaire raisonné des sciences, des arts et des métiers} was published in 17 volumes in the period 1751--1772, and its digitized critical edition is now available online as the \textit{Edition Numérique Collaborative et CRitique de l'Encyclopédie}.\N\NThe present paper provides a report on research carried out within the digitization project, and focuses on Jean d'Alembert's articles in the \textit{Encyclopédie}. While the authorship is clear in case of articles signed by d'Alembert's mark, it is highly plausible that he has also authored some unsigned articles. The author provides explanations for these attributions as well as a comparison with earlier studies dealing with d'Alembert's contribution to the \textit{Encyclopédie}, in particular those by Richard Schwab and John Lough.
