The authors find two conditions on a orthonormal system (ONS) in \( L_2(0,1) \) which imply that for arbitrary \( f \in\) Lip 1 and for any \( \varepsilon\in (0,1) \) the series \[\sum_{k=1}^{\infty} C_k^2(f)k^{2(1-\varepsilon)}\] converges (here \( C_k(f) \) are the Fourier coefficients with respect to that ONS). The first condition is the convergence of the series from above for the function \( f \equiv 1\) and it is not sufficient for the desired conclusion without the second condition. The second condition asks boundedness of special sequence related to ONS, and it is proved that generally the conclusion is not valid in the case of unboundedness of that sequence.
