      Let \(S\) denote a semigroup and \(Z(S)\) denote the center of \(S\), i.e., \[Z(S)=\{s\in S: xs=sx \quad \mathrm{for all}\quad x\in S\},\] and the map \(\sigma:S \to S\) denotes an involutive automorphism of \(S\).\par In the present paper the Kannappan-Wilson functional equation \[\int_S f(xyt)d\mu(t)+\int_S f(\sigma(y)xt)d\mu(t)=2f(x)g(y),\quad x,y \in S,\] and the van Vleck-Wilson functional equation \[\int_S f(xyt)d\mu(t)-\int_S f(\sigma(y)xt)d\mu(t)=2f(x)g(y),\quad x,y \in S,\] are solved, where \(\mu\) is a measure that is a linear combination of Dirac measures \((\delta_{z_i})_{i\in I}\) with \(z_i\in Z(S)\) for all \(i\in I\).\par As a consequence the solutions of some classical functional equations, like Kannappan-Wilson equation \[f(xyz_0)+f(\sigma(y)xz_0)=2f(x)g(y), x, y\in S,\] and Jensen's functional equation \[f(xyz_0)+f(\sigma(y)xz_0)=2f(x), x, y \in S,\] are obtained.
