This paper is a nice work on some special functions called as Hecke-Maass \(L\)-functions in the intersection of number theory, cusp forms, discrete group theory, lattice theory and complex analysis. The author investigated the weighted average say \(A_{T,M}(s)\) of \(L\)-functions corresponding to the first moment of Hecke-Maass cusp forms at a generic point inside the critical strip and they provided an asymptotic expansion for it in terms of two parameters \(T\) and \(M\). This is a continuation of similar works with the first moment is calculated at central vertices on the line \(x = 1/2\). The Riemann hypothesis gives us clues about the placement of the zeros of this \(L\)-function on the same line together with a zero-free region. Also the author determined a non-vanishing region for the average function \(A_{T,M}(s)\). Although the author has participated in a parallel study recently for holomorphic Hecke cusp forms, still there are open problems related to the problem and the author gave clues for these problems.
