An extension of norm-multiplicativity is provided from the scalar continuous functions acting on locally compact Hausdorff spaces to the vector continuous functions acting on the same spaces.\par Let \(X,Y\) be locally compact Hausdorff spaces and \((E,\vert \vert .\vert \vert_E)\), \((F,\vert \vert .\vert \vert_F)\) be normed spaces We introduce a (not linear in general) subspace \(A(X,E)\) of \(C_b(X,E)\) according to \par (1) Given \(x_0\in X\) and an open neighborhood \(U\) of \(x_0\), there exists \(f\in A(X,E)\) such that \(\vert \vert f\vert \vert_\infty=\vert \vert f(x_0)\vert \vert_E=1\) and \(\vert \vert f\vert \vert_E< 1\) outside \(U\), \par (2) If \(f,g\in A(X,E)\) and \(e\in S_E\) then \(\vert \vert f(x)\vert \vert_E\vert \vert g(x)\vert \vert_E \cdot {\hat e}\in A(X,E)\). In a similar way, one may introduce the subspace \(A(Y,F)\) of \(C_b(Y,F)\).\par The following is the main result in authors' exposition.\par \textbf{Theorem.} Let \(T:A(X,E)\to A(Y,F)\) be a norm multiplicative surjection. Then, there exists a bijective homeomorphism mapping \(h:Y\to X\) such that \(\vert \vert f(h(y))\vert \vert_E=\vert \vert (Tf)(y)\vert \vert_F\), for all \(f\in A(X,E)\) and all \(y\in Y\).\par Further aspects occasioned by these developments are also discussed.
