Consider \(X\) a Kähler orbifold of complex dimension \(n\) with cyclic quotient singularities and an orbifold line bundle \(L\) on \(X\). Assume that \(L\) is orbi-ample, so that it admits a hermitian metric \(h\) with positive curvature by the Kodaira-Baily theorem. Then, the authors construct a weighted Bergman kernel for \((L,h)\) associated to a finite number of a priori fixed positive weights (that satisfy a geometric condition). This is a very natural geometric object in the orbifold category. They prove that the associated weighted Bergman function \(B_{\text{orb}}\) has a uniform asymptotic expansion over the whole manifold \(X\), like in the classical case of a manifold, when is considering higher tensor powers \(L^k\), \(k>>0\). Note that this weighted Bergman kernel appears actually as a weighted sum of Bergman kernels for different tensor powers of \(L\). In particular, the first term of this expansion has a simple expression: it just depends on the sum of the weights \(c_i\). So it writes as \[ B_{orb}=k^n\left( \sum_{i}c_i\right) + k^{n-1}\sum_{i} c_i\left(ni + \frac{1}{2}\text{Scal}\big(c_1(h)\big)\right) + O(k^{n-2}) \] and the second term of the asymptotics depends on the weights and linearly in the scalar curvature of the curvature \(c_1(h)\) of the fixed hermitian metric \(h\) on \(L\). A consequence of their work is a Riemann-Roch type expression with weights for an orbi-ample line bundle. Other interesting consequences of this work (especially for the problem of the constant scalar curvature equation over an orbifold) can be found in the related work of the authors [J. Differ. Geom. 88, No. 1, 109--159 (2011; Zbl 1244.32013)].
