The author considers an \(m\)-dimensional area minimizing \(\bmod(2Q)\) current \(T\), where \(Q\) is an integer, in a sufficiently regular Riemannian manifold of dimension \(m+1\). The methods introduced in the papers by \textit{C. De Lellis} et al. [Comment. Math. Helv. 93, No. 4, 737--779 (2018; Zbl 1408.49045); \textit{C. De Lellis} and \textit{A. Skorobogatova}, ``The fine structure of the singular set of area-minimizing integral currents II: rectifiability of flat singular points with singularity degree larger than $1$'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:2304.11555}], for higher codimension area-minimizing surfaces, are improved by the author in order to overcome difficulties encountered in the previous paper by \textit{C. De Lellis} et al. [Nonlinear Anal., Theory Methods Appl., Ser. A, Theory Methods 247, Article ID 113606, 47 p. (2024; Zbl 1548.49051)]. \N\NThe authors new approach to the excess decay leads to the proof that the set of singular density-\(Q\) points with a flat tangent cone is \((m-2)\)-rectifiable, in codimension one (Theorem 1.3). A series of papers by De Lellis-Hirsch-Marchese-Stuvard and De Lellis-Hirsch-Marchese-Stuvard-Spolaor, and the work of \textit{P. Minter} and \textit{N. Wickramasekera} [J. Am. Math. Soc. 37, No. 3, 861--927 (2024; Zbl 1542.53016)] (see the references in the paper) provide a detailed analysis of the singularities of area-minimizing hypersurfaces modulo \(p\), which is now complemented by the paper under review.
