On finite symmetry groups of some models of three-dimensional quasicrystals (Q662639)

Given a cut-and-project scheme for a quasicrystal, with physical space \(U\), internal space \(V\), lattice \(M\) and window \(W\), the authors classify the finite symmetry groups of \(Q=\rho^{-1}(W)\cap M\) (where \(\rho\) is the projection from the embedding space \(E=U\oplus V\) onto \(V\)) up to isomorphism when \(U\) and \(V\) have dimension \(3\).The description is based on the representation of finite subgroups of the symmetry group of \(E\) by block-diagonal orthogonal matrices.
