The author revisits David and Jerison's construction of Lipschitz approximations to a corkscrew domain, observing that it does not require that the surface measure be upper Ahlfors regular. This enables him to study the absolute continuity of the harmonic measure and the surface measure on non-tangentially accessible (NTA) domains with locally finite perimeter. He thus provides a partial extension to the case of NTA domains in space of the F. and M. Riesz theorem addressing simply connected planar domains. A noteworthy consequence of his results is that every Wolff snowflake has infinite surface measure.
