A Note on Finite Nilpotent Groups (Q6653392)

Let \(G\) be a finite group, if \(H \leq G\), then denote by \(|G:H|\) the index of \(H\) in \(G\). In the paper under review the author provides an elementary proof of the following characterization of finite nilpotent groups: \(G\) is nilpotent if and only if for each \(H\leq G\) and for all \(x\in G\), \(x^{|G:H|} \in H\).\N\NThe author points out that this result was obtained independently by \textit{L. Sabatini} in [Ars Math. Contemp. 24, No. 1, Paper No. 9, 9 p. (2024; Zbl 1523.20045)].
