The authors consider the Dirichlet to Neumann operator associated to the Laplacian on forms of degree \(p\), on a smooth compact Riemannian manifold of dimension \(n+1\) with boundary. They obtain several upper and lower bounds on its first eigenvalue, such as - in any degree \(p\): lower bound in term of the lowest \(p\)-curvature of the boundary, - in degree \(n\): lower bound in term of (a lower bound on) the mean curvature of the boundary, - monotonicity with respect to the degree (the first eigenvalue does not decrease when the degree increases) for convex euclidean domains, - in degree \(n\): upper bound in term of the isoperimetric ratio (volume of the boundary divided by the volume of the manifold), - in degree \(n\): upper bound by the first biharmonic Steklov eigenvalue. Many estimates are sharp and, in several cases, they are able to characterize the domains for which these bounds are equalities.
