This contribution is in line with the authors's previous work on avaeraging/homogenization of multiscale problems with defects. This time the defect -- a deviation from periodicity, is an \(L^r\) function. It is incorporated in the diffusion matrix associated a linear elliptic problem with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions. In this Note, the authors outline the proof of a corrector estimate. This estimate allows one to approximate the solution to the original multiscale elliptic equation with the same accuracy as in the periodic case.
