Given a Galois extension of number fields, the Chebotarev density theorem gives an asymptotic for the number of unramified prime ideals with prescribed Artin symbol. This paper is concerned with finding explicit bounds for the error in this asymptotic, under the assumption of the Riemann hypothesis for Dedekind zeta functions. An extensive bibliography of the preceding work in this area is given. The strategy is similar to one found in earlier work of the authors on the subject and related work of \textit{J. C. Lagarias} and \textit{A. M. Odlyzko} [in: Algebr. Number Fields, Proc. Symp. Lond. Math. Soc., Univ. Durham 1975, 409--464 (1977; Zbl 0362.12011)], with extra care taken to reduce explicit computations. A link is provided to code used to compute the constants that occur.
