This dataset supports the findings of the publication 'The time since land-use transition drives changes in fire activity in the Amazon-Cerrado region' by Ribeiro et al. 2024. The dataset consists of time-lagged fractions of burned area associated with land-use transitions to model how fire activity changes with the evolution of land use in the Amazon-Cerrado agricultural frontier. To investigate the joint impact of land-use change and climate drivers, this dataset also includes annual values of vapor pressure deficit (VPD) and maximum cumulative water deficit (MCWD). For more information, please read the README.txt and the associated article or contact the authors of the publication.
